COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS
The health and safety of our subscribers, ticket holders, staff, artists and community are our top priorities. We know many have questions about performances and what the experience of attending the theater will be like. Please rest assured, all decisions regarding the necessary protocols and policies for the health and safety of our audiences will be guided by medical and public health advice and will comply with the guidelines set by Arizona State University.
Below are protocols as of March 1, 2023.

Masks Are Optional
Audience members may choose whether to wear a mask at ASU Gammage. We ask that all audience members be respectful of one another's choices.
Hand Sanitizing Stations
We’re making it easy to sanitize your hands frequently by adding more hand sanitizing stations throughout the venue.
All high touch points will be sanitized and cleaned frequently.
Please note stage door is closed.
Any ticket holder who does not comply with any COVID-19 related health protocol may be required to leave the theater, and their ticket will not be refunded.
What can you do to help provide a safe environment when visiting ASU Gammage?
- Please stay home if you are feeling ill, if you are living with someone who is displaying symptoms of COVID-19, or who has the virus. If you are unable to make a performance please email us before the performance at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will work with you on your options.
- Patrons are encouraged to practice increased hygiene by utilizing the hand sanitizing stations placed throughout the venue.
Please be aware ASU Gammage will operate at 100% capacity and that you will be seated with patrons directly in front of, next to, and behind you.

Will I be required to wear a mask?
No. Audience members may choose whether to wear a mask at ASU Gammage, although there may be exceptions required by certain artists or productions. We ask that all audience members be respectful of one another's choices.
What if I don’t feel comfortable returning to the theater?

Will concessions be available at ASU Gammage?
Concessions will be available.
What bags will be permitted into ASU Gammage?
Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
Small bags (no larger than 8.5" x 5.5") with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the venue
How are HVAC/AC systems maintained?
ASU and ASU Gammage complies with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers’ recommendations for maintaining healthy buildings during the pandemic, including maximizing fresh air intake, minimizing cross-flow of air in occupied spaces and optimizing system filtration to the greatest extent possible. ASU Gammage averages six to eight air exchanges per hour in our building, which meets or exceeds ASHRAE recommendations. In its numerous campus heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, ASU Gammage uses air filtration designed for optimum performance and efficacy. ASU Gammage also employs a cadre of filter changers and HVAC mechanics to ensure all HVAC systems are properly maintained, cleaned and operated at peak performance for air quality and temperature and humidity control.
ASU or each Event may unilaterally implement health and safety protocols based on updated public health guidance and applicable law. Such health protocols may include, without limitation: required masks, proof of vaccination, testing, and temperature checks. Updates will be provided to ticket holders prior to each performance. Any guest who does not comply may be required to leave the theater, and will not receive a refund.
