ORIGINS - Salt and Fire

April 29, 2017

Join the Origins Project at ASU for an incredible weekend of climate-inspired films and conversations with the filmmaker and leading experts. This evening will begin at 7:00 pm with a screening of a new feature film, Salt and Fire, directed by Werner Herzog. This thriller is about a scientist who blames the head of a large company for an ecological disaster in South America, and will undoubtedly entertain and help raise some interesting questions for our panelists afterward.

Following the film, there will be an on-stage conversation with Werner Herzog, world renowned economist and public intellectual Jeffrey Sachs, and Lawrence Krauss, where they will highlight the climate-related issues raised in the film and answer questions from the audience, as they talk about the significance of addressing these areas and the significant impact they have on just about everything we do and how we may plan for the best future for us and the planet we live on.
