A national model for The New American University, the ASU Gammage Residency brings the world's most celebrated contemporary performing artists to ASU for a three year guest residency of performance, intensive teaching, career mentoring and community engagement.

ASU Gammage and one of the most influential contemporary theater companies and directors in the world, SITI Company and founder and artistic director Anne Bogart completed their three-year Gammage Residency on April 18, 2009. SITI performed its final performance at ASU Galvin Playhouse, Under Construction, partially developed at ASU.  While in residence, Ms. Bogart and SITI Company conducted intensive workshops with ASU theater students and faculty in the groundbreaking Viewpoints & Suzuki acting techniques, as well as working with local professional actors and community members. With innovation, creativity and vision the ASU Gammage/SITI Company partnership is putting ASU at the forefront of American universities and the contemporary theater world.
